Save the Date: March 26, 6:30 PM

The Adult Faith Exploration Ministry is hosting a special conversational dinner inspired by two national initiatives: Death Over Dinner and The Conversation Project. Both organizations are dedicated to breaking the taboo regarding conversations about end of life.

The project “Let’s Have Dinner and Talk About Death” aims to inspire an ever-growing community of people to talk about death and dying. And we are inspired to try it too—this might be the most unusual dinner program the church has ever held. But, as the project’s website notes, “How we want to die represents the most important and costly conversation America isn’t having.”

Our hope is that through sharing our thoughts and feelings on this subject with each other, we can more readily move through our fears, shed inhibitions, and forge deeper understandings and connections. Think of this as a way to “practice” with each other as we anticipate having deeper conversations—and connections—with our loved ones.

Sign-up information and more details will be in the upcoming March Spire and weekly church emails. We hope you will come and have this important conversation with us.
